FF7 Rebirthの開発陣にMobius FFの開発にかかわった人が多いというPostをＸで見かけた。
僕の中ではそれはすごく自然なことだったので気にしていなかったのだが、メビウスとリメイクプロジェクトの関係性を知らない人もいるのかもしれないと思い、記事を書いてみようと思った。
しかし自分の記憶も曖昧な部分が多かったのでまずは記憶を掘り起こすところから始めた。

メビウスとリメイク版の関係について、自分の過去のツイートを参照する。それによると、2ちゃんねるに "メビウスはリメイク版の宣伝媒体になるので、リメイク版が公開されるまでサービスは継続する "と書き込まれていたとTweetしている。実際、メビウスの発売日は2020年3月31日に予定されており、リメイク版の当初の発売日（2020年3月3日）より少し遅れていた。
Regarding the relationship between Mobius and the remake, I referred to my own past tweets. According to them, 2chan had written that "Mobius will be a promotional medium for the remake, so the service will continue until the remake is released." In fact, the release date of Mobius was scheduled for March 31, 2020, a little later than the original release date of the remake (March 3, 2020).
宣伝媒体となっていたかは不明ですが、発売前のFF7Remakeとのコラボレーションイベントをしている唯一のソシャゲだと記憶しています。そしてMobius FFで使用したグラフィックをFF7 Remakeで流用するという公式発表があったと思うのですが、それに関するソースが見つかりませんでした。Mobius FFはフルHDのグラフィックを意識して作られ、それをスマホ用に変換したものなので、FF7 Remake用に素材を作って、それをスマホ用にダウンコンバートしたのではないかというのが僕の推測です。
I don't know if it was a promotional medium or not, but I remember it was the only mobile game that had a collaboration event with FF7Remake before launch.
I think there was an official announcement that the graphics used in Mobius would be reused in the remake, but I couldn't find a source to back that up. Mobius FF was made with full HD graphics in mind, and then converted to fit smartphones, so I suspect they created the materials for the FF7 Remake and then down-converted them for smartphones.
ソースが見つかれば信憑性はだいぶ高くなると思いますが、今ある事実だけを並べてみてもMobius FFを使ってFF7 Remakeに関する色々なテストが行われていた可能性は高いように思います。これらに関して何か情報をお持ちの方はコメントで教えてくださると嬉しいです。
If we could find the source, it would be much more credible, but it seems highly likely that there were various tests on FF7 Remake using Mobius FF, even if we only have the facts that we have now.
